The Village has a policy for trash and refuse. By law, property owners are responsible for pickup at rental properties.
Your trash will be picked up according to the schedule of your individually contracted hauler. Your trash must be placed at the curb in standard sized garbage cans no larger than 33 gallons. Trash should be set out no sooner than 6:00 p.m. on the day before your pickup and empty containers must be removed from the curb before 11:00 p.m. on the day of pickup.

Sewer is billed quarterly at a rate of 5.64 per ccf. Meters are read by United Water of Owego and the ccf usage for the 3 month period is submitted to the village to bill.
There is also a $7.50 quarterly Capital Adjustment Improvement Fee which is for reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Village of Owego sewer collection system.
There is a minimum sewer charge of $75.30 that is charged quarterly for any reads of 12 ccfs or below.
