Streetscape and Building Facade Improvements

Trowbridge and Wolf’s Design for Streetscape and Building Facade Improvements has been completed and you can see it here. Click links below to view report.

$206,000 from TEA-21 (federal Department of Transportation funding administered through NYS DOT) will keep the momentum going in 2005. Using the Streetscape Design as a guideline, sidewalks will be repaired, historic lighting will be installed, trees and shrubs will be planted, benches and trash receptacles will be placed. This process will take some time because TEA-21 will also be addressing these concerns on Front Street, Main Street and Courthouse Square with additional funding. Since this is a grant that requires 20% match from the Village, the project will be paced according to Village funding ability. We need to support the Village and our neighbors by looking after our own properties, reporting code violations, and cleaning up litter and trash.
